Faith Works Coalition Anniversary Celebration

On the evening of June 14, 2018 Faith Works Coalition celebrated their 10th Anniversary of incorporation with an excellent dinner, some recipient stories, music and re-uniting current and past Board members as well as volunteers.  The event occurred at Sweetwater Cuisine in Virginia Beach.  74 guests attended the event.

John Nogosek, President of Faith Works Coalition (FWC) was the master of ceremonies.  Most of the founding members of FWC were present with pat Roll offering a history of the organization which had completed an amazing 764 projects in our ten years of supporting our community with “warm, safe and dry home repairs.  Four recipients shared their story with the audience and one, Ms. Gatlin-Shepherd also provided music during dinner as well as provided the microphone system.

Also included in the audience were six of our contractors who provide support for our repairs when needed and they all received a warm applause from the audience as well as a “thank you” certificate for working with us.  Two of our many supporting churches had staff present – and we are very grateful for our church assistance financially and with volunteers.  Rounding out the evening was a “CPC quartet” consisting of Bob Brenton, George Chafee, Alex Frye and Bryan Harrell putting to song our goal of eliminating sub-standard housing in our communities.

It was a fun evening re-uniting past Board members with current including Rick and Nichole Galliford who came all the way from Florida to partake in the festivities.  As we move into our second decade of service to our community we stand united in continuing to help our neighbors in need.
